Parents and Guardians:
PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE A STUDENT WITH A SEVERE ALLERGY TO SHELLFISH-
Please do not send any shellfish in student lunches.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
Shellfish proteins can be hidden in non-shellfish foods that were prepared alongside shellfish or be used as ingredients in other foods.
Shellfish fall into two different groups: Crustaceans (like shrimp, crab, or lobster) or Mullusks (like clams, mussels, oysters, scallops, octopus, or squid). Some people with shellfish allergies can be allergic to both.
